Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Based at Bolton BL1 2TF. Working away from home and travelling throughout the UK will be required as part of the role.

What you'll be doing:

Assist the Site Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily decommissioning activities, managing site–based teams, contractors, and subcontractors

Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and team meetings while monitoring work progress and reporting on operational performance

Implement and enforce safe systems of work, permit–to–work procedures, and conduct risk assessments and method statements

Monitor and control radiological, chemical, and conventional hazards on site, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations, Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, and relevant industry standards

Investigate incidents and near–misses, implementing corrective actions and maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance reports

Coordinate waste segregation, packaging, and disposal activities in accordance with waste management plans

Liaise with clients, regulators (ONR, EA, HSE), and stakeholders, managing site logistics, equipment, and resource allocation

Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed throughout all decommissioning activities

Mentor and develop team members, promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and budgets

What we're looking for:

Proven experience in decommissioning supervision within nuclear, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.

CCDO Gold Card

Experience with permit–to–work systems and safe systems of work

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

SC Security Clearance or ability to obtain
