Job type: Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week, rotating morning & afternoon shifts

Pay: GBP38,532 per annum / GBP19 per hour

Key responsibilities:

Program, set and operate CNC milling machinesCreate, edit and optimize CNC programmes to improve machining efficiencyManufacture one off and batch components from engineering drawingsSelect the correct tooling, fixtures and workholding for each jobCarry out tool changes and make machine offsets where requiredInspect finished components ysing a range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and height gaugesComplete first off inspections and ensure components meet quality standardsIdentify process improvements to reduce cycle times and increase productivityMaintain a safe, clean and organized working environment About you:

Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machinesThe ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawingsExcellent attention to detail and a quality–focus approachStrong problem solving skills and ability to work independently Experience with CAD/CAM software and machine controls such as Haas, Hurco, Mazak, Fanuc or Matsuura would be highly advantegous, as would an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
