Position: CNC Turner Setter/Operator

Location: Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

Hours:

* Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

* Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm

Salary: £27,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

The Role

We are recruiting for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join a busy precision engineering company. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high-quality batch and one-off precision components.

Key Responsibilities

* Set and operate CNC turning machinery.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Select appropriate tooling and machine offsets.

* Produce both batch work and one-off components.

* Run machines efficiently to maximise productivity.

* Carry out basic quality checks on finished parts.

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

* Work collaboratively within the production team.

Skills & Experience

* Previous CNC Turning experience.

* Setting and operating CNC lathes.

* Fanuc controls experience preferred.

* Citizen Sliding Head experience advantageous.

* Ability to read engineering drawings.

* Turning and milling knowledge.

* Experience within a precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing environment.

* Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification desirable.

* Full UK driving licence preferred.

* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

* Candidates with button-pushing/operator experience who are eager to progress into setting will also be considered.
