CNC Machinist – Up to GBP20 per hour LTD – Inside IR35

Lutterworth, Leicestershire 12 months Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled CNC Machinist to join an advanced UK prototyping and product development team. You will play a key role in producing one–off and small–batch prototype components that support the development of new engineering products.

The Role

Working alongside engineers and technicians, you ll be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC vertical machining centres, as well as using a range of conventional machines. This is a hands–on role ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship and high–quality output.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsSet, program and operate CNC VMC machinesUse conventional lathes, mills and cutting machineryProduce components to tight tolerances and strict quality standardsMonitor machine performance, tooling condition and material usageConduct routine machine maintenance and support 5S practicesMaintain accurate job and material recordsWork safely and proactively within a small, skilled team Requirements

BTEC or equivalent in engineeringEngineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands–on experienceProven VMC programming, setting and operating abilityCompetent with measuring instruments, tooling and fixturesStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyExperience with Mastercam (Preffered) Ready to make your mark in a skilled, forward–thinking engineering team?
