Description

We are recruiting for a Skilled CNC Engineer, for a specialist manufacturer of high precision metallic and PTFE machine components for the global Aerospace sector.

Location: Rochford, Essex

Working Pattern: 4–day working week, Monday to Thursday

Salary: GBP30,000 GBP35,000, dependent on experience

The Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Engineer to join a specialist aerospace manufacturer, developing their expertise in centreless grinding while working across a range of CNC and second–operation machinery.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC and manual second–operation equipment, manufacturing precision aerospace components to extremely tight tolerances. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your engineering skills in a modern precision manufacturing environment while working in line with strict quality and health & safety standards.

Previous centreless grinding experience is advantageous but not essential. Full training will be provided to engineers who are keen to learn. A significant part of the role will involve centreless grinding alongside other second–operation processes, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their technical capabilities.

We're looking for an engineer who has:

Experience setting and operating CNC machinery. The ability to read engineering drawings and work to extremely tight tolerances. Excellent measurement skills, including the confident use of micrometres to micron–level accuracy. Experience within a precision engineering environment, ideally supplying the aerospace industry. A willingness to learn and develop new machining skills, particularly centreless grinding. This position will primarily involve second–operation machining rather than CNC turning, working on equipment including grinders, capstan machines, drill banks and other precision manual machining equipment to produce high–quality aerospace components.

increased effectiveness and efficiency.
