Position: CNC Turner/Lathe Setter Operator

Wage: GBP25p/h

Location: Nuneaton, CV11 6BX

Universal Fabrications is based in Nuneaton and has an extensive machine shop which includes milling, turning and turn mills. We are looking for an experienced Senior Machinist we be a key member of the team. We are continually investing in our machinery and facilities and want to develop the careers of all who work with us.

Key Responsibilities:

Program, Set and Operate our lathes:

Hardinge Lathe GS200 machining centre x2

Citizen Sliding Head Lathe L32 VIII LFV

Biglia Smart Turn & Machining centre

Collaborate with engineering, programmers, and other team members to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes

Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment, and perform minor repairs as needed. Maintain machinery by cleaning it and making sure it is in working order at all times

Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation at all times

Outcomes:

Able to successfully keep machines in running condition throughout the shift

Keep parts running within tolerance

Ability to run 1st offs and quality check your own work

Requires:

A good understanding of:

Engineering drawings

Tooling

Machine Code

Manual inspection equipment

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency

Working Hours:

Weekend Shift working Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12hrs per day. Overtime available.
