About the Role

They are seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join the workshop team. This is a hands–on position suited to an experienced craftsperson who takes pride in producing high–quality bespoke joinery and cabinetry.

You will be responsible for manufacturing items from detailed technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and the highest standards of finish. This is a role for someone who understands traditional joinery principles but is equally comfortable working within modern production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture bespoke joinery items including cabinets, counters, displays, and specialist furnitureWork from technical drawings and cutting lists with precisionAssemble, glue, clamp and finish components to specificationOperate workshop machinery safely (e.g. panel saws, spindle moulders, edge banders, CNC where required)Conduct quality checks throughout the build processMaintain a clean and organised workspaceWork to production schedules and meet agreed deadlinesCollaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and other departmentsAbout You

Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner (minimum 3–5 years preferred)Strong understanding of traditional and modern joinery techniquesAbility to read and interpret detailed technical drawingsExperience working with solid timber, veneers, laminates and sheet materialsConfident operating woodworking machineryHigh attention to detail and quality standardsSelf–motivated with a strong work ethicRelevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent) desirableApply
