This is a fulltime (37,5 hours per week) 6 month contract to cover a leave of absence.

Certain Advantage is working on behalf of a global manufacturing company, they are actively seeking an Assembly Technican with knowladge of Mechanical & Electrical Systems.

Requirements:Knowledge of and experience in both mechanical and electrical systems is a requirement.Battery assembly and testing experience is preferred but not required.You should be able to read technical drawings and work instructions.Have experience with both hand tools and machinery is required.Usage of testing equipment such as volt meters is preferredAbility to follow build and test work instructionAbility to work on ad–hoc technical tasks.Ability to work well within a team as well as individually

Your responsibilities will include:Mechanical and electrical assembliesMaintain a clean and tidy workplaceActively participate in continuous processes improvementParticipates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee developmentFollowing H&S policies and reporting proceduresParticipate in troubleshooting operations and engineering trials/builds to resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes

Job Summary:Operates machines and production equipment independently in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others.Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka–yoke and visual standards.Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.Performs quality inspections.Identifies and controls non–conforming material.

Qualifications and CompetenciesManufacturing Knowledge – Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctlyImplementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.Requires relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on–the–job experience.
