We have a temporary role available within DS Smith's Smethwick site to help support a Christmas project.

Role: Assembly Operative

Location: DS Smith, Summit Crescent, Smethwick,West Midlands. B66 1BT

Rate: 13.87ph

Contract length: 21st October – 15th December

Shift Patterns: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm and Friday 8am – 3pm

Start: 21st October

Responsibilities:

Assembly of cardboard boxes, profiling, glueing, stapling. Reporting to the Shift Team Leader and following their direction as required Ensuring the quality of product produced is to DS Smith standards Helping the team to achieve productivity goals and being part of improvement initiatives Maintaining highest possible standard of housekeeping Adhering to UK Health and Safety at all times and encouraging others to do the same Essential requirements:

Good level of verbal and written communication Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation Ability to conduct manual handling and be standing for long periods of time Proactive nature and ability to work upon own initiative Flexibility towards shift work and overtime Own safety shoes/boots or trainers Benefits:
