Hours: 06:00 – 14:00 Mon – Fri / 14:00 – 00:00 Mon – Thur. Rotating weekly

We are recruiting for an Assembly Operative / Strip & Clean Operatives to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company within the rail industry.

This is a hands–on, physical role working in a dirty and noisy workshop environment, stripping down, cleaning, and refurbishing brake calipers and related components.

This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical, assembly, production, manufacturing, or hands–on experience, as well as those with a strong work ethic looking to develop technical skills. Full training is provided.

Key Duties:

Stripping down brake calipers and mechanical componentsCleaning and refurbishing parts ready for reassemblyUsing hand tools to dismantle and rebuild unitsInspecting components for wear and defectsWorking in a busy production workshop environmentSkills & Experience:

Mechanical, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferredExperience using hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches, etc.)Ability to follow instructions and processesGood attention to detailComfortable working in a dirty/noisy workshop environmentConfident using hand toolsThis role would suit candidates with experience as:
