Assembly Operative

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 3:30pm and Friday 6:00am – 12:30

Role Purpose

We are looking for a reliable and organised Operative to join our Assembly team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials required to build high‑quality kitchen cabinets, helping production teams meet output and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing and assembling components to produce high quality, proficiently put together cabinets

* Ensuring components are complete, accurate and prepared in line with production requirements

* Working closely with production teams to ensure materials are available when needed

* Checking components for quality and reporting any issues or shortages

* Accurately recording stock movements and kit preparation data where required

* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the Stores area to support health, safety and efficiency

* Adhering to all company and statutory health & safety procedures and reporting potential hazards

* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Stores and Production teams

Key Accountabilities

* Follow defined processes to ensure consistent quality and accuracy of kits

* Meet agreed output targets in collaboration with colleagues

* Take responsibility for own work quality and accuracy

* Promote a strong safety culture and stop unsafe practices when observed

* Contribute positively to teamwork and internal customer satisfaction

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment is desirable

* Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately

* Well-organised with the ability to manage time effectively within a part‑time schedule

* Positive, proactive and reliable approach to work

* Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly
