Description

This Lotus Elise S2 111S is an involving featherweight British sports car, fitted with a few choice modifications. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.8-litre ‘K-series’ VVC inline-four, delivering 156bhp and 129lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. As a result, the 0-60mph sprint is completed in only 5.1 seconds.

The car has covered approximately 79,700 miles from new. It’s finished in Magnetic Blue with a body-coloured removable hard top and a black fabric roof panel. The cabin is trimmed in black partial leather with contrast stitching and Alcantara door cards. It rides on a set of 16-inch eight-spoke alloy wheels, fitted with Yokohama tyres.
Equipment includes a Bluetooth-compatible Sony stereo, Gaz Shocks adjustable suspension, a short-shifter, and a cold air intake. Accompanying the sale is the owner’s manual, service book, numerous invoices and MOT test certificates, and two keys.

The clamshell has been resprayed. The door cards were retrimmed in Alcantara supplied by the then-owner in February 2018 by Allon White Sports Cars, who also retrimmed the centre console, sill covers, and gear lever and handbrake gaiters in 2016. A replacement, second-hand hard top was supplied by Paul Matty Sports Cars in December 2016. The door mirror caps and bonnet vents were repaired and painted in June 2015.

The ECU was sent for testing in September 2023, both VVC solenoids were replaced, and a short shifter and gear linkage bush kit was fitted.
Hilton & Moss previously performed an oil service in April 2023 at 76,330 miles. New front brake pads were fitted in July 2021. The cambelt, tensioner, and water pump were replaced in July 2020.
Prior to this, Lotus specialist Classic Modern Sports carried out a service in December 2017 at 66,902 miles. A suspension arm has been rebuilt, the cylinder head has been machined, and the head gasket has been replaced.

*This is the correct current mileage, however the odometer went wrong in April 2025 at the MOT test. The mileage is now showing as 239,699! This has been noted as a known issue with Elises, which there doesn’t seem to be a fix for! You can see from the previous service history that it has not done 160,000 miles last year.
