The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse & Transport Manager to lead their Goods In, Goods Out, and Transport operations.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing high–volume logistics activity, driving operational efficiency, and maintaining consistently high standards across all functions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to support strategic objectives while ensuring day–to–day operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage Goods In and Goods Out warehouse operationsLead and coordinate transport planning and fleet managementManage, motivate, and develop a large operational team (circa 100 staff) across multiple shiftsDrive high levels of productivity, accuracy, and performanceEnsure adherence to operational processes and compliance standardsCollaborate with senior leadership on operational strategy and executionProduce and maintain daily operational reports and performance metricsIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costsChampion the use of systems and technology to enhance performanceEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and warehouse regulationsMaintain a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment

Key Requirements

Proven experience managing large teams within warehouse or logistics environmentsStrong background in multi–shift warehouse operationsExperience in transport planning and fleet managementFamiliarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS)Ability to thrive in a fast–paced, high–volume environmentStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent organisational and problem–solving abilitiesSolid understanding of Health & Safety and compliance standardsStrong communication and reporting skillsComfortable driving and adopting new technologies
