Can you confidently manage drivers, compliance, and operational performance while keeping a busy transport operation running safely and efficiently? Join us as our Transport Shift Manager!

Join our GXO Phillips 66 Imminghamteam as a Transport Shift Manager, where you'll lead from the front, motivate drivers, drive exceptional customer service, and ensure a safe, efficient operation around the clock. From managing resources and performance to solving challenges on the go, you'll play a key role in delivering for our customers and keeping the operation running at its very best.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity based on site (South Killingholme DN403DL). Contracted hours of 40 per week, with rotating shift pattern. This is 5 days of 7 rota, working 06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00 and 22:00 to 06:00 (When your shifts fall on weekends, the shift pattern is 06:00 to 14:00).

We're looking to offer a salary of up to GBP33,500 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts

What you'll do on a typical day:

Lead and motivate your transport team to deliver outstanding service, achieve targets, and maintain operational excellence across your shiftKeep customers informed and satisfied by providing accurate ETAs and proactively communicating any delivery updatesManage driver performance and wellbeing, including shift briefings, absence cover, return-to-work interviews, and day-to-day supportDrive compliance and operational control through effective management of tachographs, drivers' hours, working time regulations, and transport documentationChampion a culture of safety and continuous improvement by promoting near-miss reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting best practices across the operation

What you need to succeed at GXO:

A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing transport environmentStrong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to work effectively with customers, drivers, and senior stakeholdersA customer-first mindset, with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver exceptional serviceGood Microsoft Office and Excel skills, alongside a self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn Previous logistics or Transport Management Systems experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided
