Transport Planner

Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire

38,000 – 42,000

We're recruiting on behalf of a well–established name in renewable energy and anaerobic digestion (AD) for a Transport Planner who knows how to keep things moving.

The Role

Digestate doesn't wait around. Spreading windows close, weather turns, land availability shifts – and when a tanker's stuck instead of on the road, it costs time, money, and goodwill with contractors who want solutions, not excuses.

That's where you come in.

Working closely with the Transport Manager, you'll take the lead on day–to–day scheduling, driver communication, and contractor coordination – making sure digestate logistics run safely, compliantly, and on time. You'll be the calm, organised voice at the end of the phone when plans change at short notice, and a genuine ambassador for the business in how you deal with drivers, contractors, and colleagues alike.

What You'll Be Doing

Planning & Scheduling

Help plan daily and weekly schedules for digestate tankers, bulk tipper/walking floor loads, and low–loader machinery movesBuild routes that keep vehicles working and downtime to a minimum, while respecting spreading windows, weather restrictions, and land–bank availabilityAdjust schedules on the fly when breakdowns, weather, or contractor needs change the planDriver & Contractor Coordination
