We are currently working with a well–established and growing logistics operation who are looking to appoint a Transport Planner to support their busy distribution function. This is a key position within the operation, responsible for keeping deliveries on track, supporting drivers, and ensuring high service levels for customers.

This role would suit a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast–paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of daily transport planning and performance.

The Role:

Creating and managing daily delivery schedules for a fleet of vehicles Acting as the main point of contact for drivers throughout the day, resolving any delivery issues as they arise Liaising closely with both sales and stock teams to ensure smooth and cost–effective operations Proactively communicating with customers to manage expectations when delays occur Ensuring all transport activity remains compliant with health, safety, and driver regulations Coordinating the dispatch of online and e–commerce orders What We re Looking For:

Previous experience within a transport, planning, or logistics coordination role A strong working knowledge of transport and distribution processes Excellent organisational abilities with a calm approach under pressure Confident communication and leadership skills The ability to juggle multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines A logistics or supply chain qualification would be beneficial but not essential This role is being handled by Sam Hasler, Transport, Logistics & Distribution Specialist at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment
