Salary: Up to GBP36,000

Hours: Full Time Permanent On–Site

We are recruiting for an experienced Dispatch Team Leader to join a busy and growing manufacturing business based in Wednesbury.

This is a hands–on role responsible for leading the day–to–day dispatch operation, planning delivery routes, coordinating drivers and ensuring all transport activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

The successful candidate will be confident managing transport operations in a fast–paced environment, whilst supporting and developing a small team.

Key Responsibilities Manage the daily dispatch and transport operationPlan and optimise delivery routes and schedulesCoordinate driver workloads and vehicle utilisationLead, motivate and support the dispatch teamEnsure deliveries are completed accurately and on timeMonitor transport KPIs and operational performanceEnsure compliance with driver hours, Working Time Directive regulations, tachograph requirements and vehicle checksMaintain awareness of current transport legislation and driver legal obligationsWork closely with production, warehouse and customer service teamsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels Skills & Experience Previous experience within dispatch, transport, logistics or distribution operationsProven route planning and scheduling experienceExperience supervising or leading a teamStrong understanding of driver hours regulations, working time rules and transport compliance requirementsGood organisational and problem–solving skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast–paced environmentManufacturing or warehouse experience would be advantageousGood IT and administration skillsCPC qualification would be advantageous but is not essential This is an excellent opportunity for a Transport Supervisor, Dispatch Supervisor, Transport Planner or Logistics Team Leader looking to join a successful and well–established business where they can make a real impact.
