We are looking for a proactive and detail–focused Stock Control Clerk to join the team at a large distribution centre just on the outskirts of Derby. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate stock control, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. This role is offered initially on a temporary basis however permanent opportunity available after qualifying period.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday
Weekly rotating shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess returned stock, case pick orders and sample orders on the system.Remove damaged cases from pallets and rebuild them so they are suitable to return to the warehouse.Accurately reconcile any stock count discrepancies in a timely manner.Highlight urgent issues in the Returns area to management.Carry out SSCC label audits in line with current processes.Complete all required KPIs and departmental measurement tools.Ensure the WMS stock file remains accurate and escalate issues where needed.Carry out all inventory tasks and any additional duties to support strong stock integrity.Communicate effectively with other departments and branch offices, including producing reports and retrieving delivery notes.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems, ideally SAP would be highly beneficial.Experience in general administrative work, ideally from a logistics or warehouse environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English verbal and written.Good numeracy and literacy skills, with strong attention to detail.Self–motivated with a proactive approach.
