Port Administrator – 3 month+ rolling contract

15.07 (176 hours per month guaranteed)

4 on 4 off 12 hours shifts days and nights

What is the role of a Port Administrator?

Working as a Port Administrator at Immingham docks within a team to ensure the smooth administration of freight imports and exports with the Humber port

Ensuring compliance in all documentation for freightUsing Microsoft office and Destin8Delivering excellent customer service to all port usersLiaising with clients and shipping agents in the timely delivery of cargoAccurate record keepingWhat experience do you need to be successful as a Port Administrator?

A successful Port administrator will thrive in a busy environment and have excellent attention to detail

Previous experience working within the Ports and sector is highly desirable however other similar sectors will be considered such as Logistics and Warehousing, Rail or FreightPrevious experience using Destin8 is highly desirablePrevious experience using SAP systems is highly desirableGood understanding of Customs documentation procedure is desirable but not essentialTeam player with a flexible approach to workKeen to learn new skillsPrevious experience in a similar role such as Import Administrator, Export Co–ordinator, Port Administrator, Shipping Agent, Transport Co–ordinator, Freight Administrator or Warehouse Administrator is highly desirableIf you believe you have the right attitude and experience to thrive in a career within Ports please apply now!
