About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead a busy freight operations department.

You will manage and develop a dedicated Operations team, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement across the wider operation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.Oversee all aspects of import and export freight operations (FCL and LCL).Resolve operational challenges proactively, identifying practical and cost–effective solutions.Take a hands–on approach to problem–solving, supporting the team with complex shipments or client queries.

What You'll Bring

Minimum 5 years' freight forwarding experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.A strong Seafreight operations background (Working for a freight forwarder).Strong Knowledge of LCL, FCL ShipmentsStrong understanding of international shipping, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS in the UK.

Desirable

Experience working for a Freight Forwarder in the UK in a Supervisor capacity.Minimum of 5 years working for a Freight Forwarder.Solid knowledge of Sea freight Operations working for a Freight Forwarder.
