Our client are continuing to expand and we are currently seeking an experienced Night shift Transport Planner to join their day shift team. This is a great opportunity to secure a stable role with excellent development prospects in a supportive working environment. You will help ensure the smooth running of our transport operation for a major client and recognised brand.

Role Responsibilities:

Receiving customer orders and creating a road transport planLiaising directly with own fleet and 3rd party transport suppliersAssist in negotiating rates with both customers and transport providersTake ownership and responsibility for successfully planning orders for large scale customers across the UKBuild and maintain relationships with transport providers, warehouses, and customersEnsuring the financial and service requirements of the contracts are achievedDelivering added-value to the customer through innovative project workProactively monitor all areas of key sensitivity ensuring compliance to process and customer request.Key Skills

Previous Transport Planning experienceExperience in the FMCG sector - preferredExcellent attention to detailYou will have excellent communication skills, spoken and writtenProven ability to work effectively as part of a teamA methodical and structured approach to problem solvingAn approachable attitude and a flexible approach to workStrong PC Literacy including Word & Excel in a business capacityKnowledge of driver's hours is beneficial but not essentialLevel 2 English and Maths or equivalent
