Material Controller (Depot)

Chester GBP22.63 per hour 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 6–month contract

Ford & Stanley Talentwise are on the lookout for an organised and proactive Material Controller to support the smooth flow of goods and materials at CAF UK's rail depot in Chester. Joining a team of five that provides 24–hour coverage, this role is focused on the day shift only, ensuring critical components are received, stored, and issued efficiently to keep rolling stock projects on track.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive goods and arrange them in designated locationsPick, issue, and kit materials for operational useProcess all goods inwards and outwards, both physically and electronicallyMaintain accurate stock records and system updatesLiaise with internal teams and customers regarding materials transactions and auditsCarry out deliveries and collections as requiredAssist with regular stocktakes and reportingEnsure compliance with all HSQE requirements Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Full UK driving licenceForklift licence (counterbalance)Previous experience in stores, warehousing, or materials controlComputer literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
