We are a well-established tool hire company with over 25 years of experience, supplying plant machinery and tool hire services, as well as providing professional tool repairs. We are looking for a motivated Hire Desk Controller to join our busy team.

About the Role

As a Hire Desk Controller, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them with hire enquiries, bookings, and general support. This is a varied, customer-facing role.

During the busy summer months, you'll work in a fast-paced environment, while the quieter winter period will require you to work independently and proactively.

Key Responsibilities

Managing hire enquiries and bookings.

Providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.

Coordinating logistics for plant and tool hire.

Communicating with customers regarding deliveries, collections, and availability.

Assisting with general hire desk administration. Working closely with the workshop and transport teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with:

Good communication and customer service skills.

Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Basic computer skills (full training provided).

A basic understanding of plant machinery, tools, or mechanics (preferred but not essential).

The ability to work well as part of a team.

The confidence to work independently when required. A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
