Global Accounts Coordinator – Freight Forwarding – Manchester – Up to GBP27,000

About the Company

Our client is a leading global logistics and freight forwarding organisation providing comprehensive transport solutions to customers worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Global Accounts Coordinator to join their dedicated customer–focused team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to join a busy international environment, managing key customer accounts and supporting the delivery of high–quality freight forwarding solutions across road and sea transport operations.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for major customers, building strong relationships while ensuring shipments are managed efficiently and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

Global Accounts Coordinator – The details

Global Accounts Coordinator – Requirements

Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or a customer account coordination role Strong understanding of road and sea freight operations Excellent customer service and relationship–building skills Ability to manage multiple customer accounts while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Experience preparing quotations, processing bookings, and managing customer enquiries Knowledge of customs procedures, dangerous goods regulations, and insurance requirements would be advantageous Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with customers, suppliers, and internal teams Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and using internal systems

Global Accounts Coordinator – Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for key customer accounts, providing a high level of customer service and support Provide shipping, transport, and freight forwarding expertise to customers Manage customer enquiries, provide quotations, process bookings, and follow up opportunities to secure business Coordinate road and sea freight shipments from booking through to completion Ensure all shipment information is processed accurately and promptly to avoid delays Maintain regular communication with customers, keeping them updated on shipment progress and resolving queries efficiently Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners Work closely with Sales Executives to support business development and customer retention Ensure compliance with customs regulations, dangerous goods requirements, and insurance procedures where applicable Liaise with customs teams to support smooth import and export clearance processes Monitor outstanding issues, claims, and customer concerns, ensuring they are escalated and resolved appropriately Maintain accurate documentation, records, and internal systems Prepare reports and information for management when required Follow company policies, procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements Provide support to other departments as required to ensure the smooth running of operations
