Freight Forwarder / Logistics Coordinator

Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk

Job Type: Full–time, Permanent

The Opportunity

An established and growing logistics organisation is seeking a Freight Forwarder / Logistics Coordinator to join its team based in Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to work within a fast–paced freight environment, managing shipments and supporting key client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinating the end–to–end movement of import and export shipmentsLiaising with shipping lines, hauliers, customs agents, and customersPreparing and processing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs entriesMonitoring shipment progress and providing updates to clientsEnsuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and proceduresHandling and resolving any shipment issues or delays efficientlyMaintaining accurate records and updating internal systems Candidate Requirements

Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain coordinationGood understanding of import/export processes (sea freight experience advantageous)Strong communication and organisational skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesHigh level of attention to detail and problem–solving capabilityCompetent in Microsoft Office and logistics systems Desirable Experience

Knowledge of customs procedures and documentationExperience working within port or container operationsRelevant industry qualifications What s on Offer
