The Opportunity

A well–established and growing freight forwarding specialist is seeking an experienced Export Sea Freight Operator to join their team in Leeds.

With the majority of shipments focused on deep sea cargo movements, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong international presence and a consistent flow of global export work. You'll play a key role in delivering seamless logistics solutions to a loyal and expanding customer base.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing export sea freight shipments from start to finish, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and high levels of customer service at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

Handling full–cycle export sea freight shipments (FCL & LCL)Liaising with customers, shipping lines, and overseas agentsPreparing and checking export documentation (Bills of Lading, customs paperwork, etc.)Booking shipments and coordinating with carriersMonitoring shipment progress and providing regular updatesManaging any issues, delays, or changes proactivelyEnsuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures

About You

This role is suited to someone already working within freight forwarding who can hit the ground running.

We're looking for:

Current experience in export sea freight forwarding (essential)Strong understanding of deep sea shipping operationsKnowledge of export documentation and processesExcellent communication and customer service skillsHighly organised with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple shipments in a fast–paced environment
