Hello, I’m Rachel – a dedicated Mindset Coach who uses evidence-based CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) techniques as a core part of my work, alongside Control Hypnosis and NLP. I specialise in supporting clients with anxiety, low self-esteem, limiting beliefs, phobias, addictions, and challenges related to past experiences – with a focus on practical, forward-looking change.
How I use CBT in coaching:
• Thought identification & reframing: We’ll work together to spot unhelpful thought patterns (like assuming the worst will happen, or seeing things as only “good” or “bad”) and replace them with balanced, realistic ways of thinking that help you reach your goals.
• Behavioural experiments: I’ll help you try out new ways of acting in tricky situations, so you can build confidence and stop getting stuck in old habits.
• Goal-setting & structure: CBT gives us a clear plan to define what you want to achieve, break it down into small steps, and track how you’re doing – so our work always stays focused on what matters to you.
• Emotion regulation tools: You’ll learn simple strategies to manage difficult feelings (like worry or frustration) in the moment, instead of letting them take over.
How CBT works hand-in-hand with my other approaches:
Think of it like building a strong house:
• CBT is the visible framework and tools – it gives you clear, practical skills you can use every day to change how you think and act. It helps you consciously understand what’s holding you back and take control.
• Control Hypnosis is like working on the foundations – it targets the deeper, automatic beliefs and responses you might not even be aware of (the ones that can make old patterns feel hard to break). It helps these new ways of thinking feel natural and lasting.
• NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is how we make the space feel right – it looks at how the words you use and the pictures you imagine in your head affect how you feel. It helps you communicate better with yourself and others, so change feels smoother.
Together, they create a complete approach that addresses both what you can see and what’s happening below the surface.
