Description
32-bit machine. The latest versions of most software no longer support 32-bit, so keep that in mind.
Very old HP Notebook - good condition, works, although lots of scuffs and scratches everywhere. Has to be plugged in - cable will be included in the order.
Very slow CPU and only 1GB RAM.
Installed AntiX Linux (runit init system 32-bit) - still slow, but much quicker compared to other operating systems on this device. Installing Windows (Vista, 7, etc.) way too slow to use. Also, most Linux distros - i.e. with systemd - impossible to boot. I only recommend using a Linux distro with both 32-bit support and non-systemd init system.
Takes a very long time to boot - just shows white underscore (2nd to last picture) for several minutes.
Freezes on login screen for some reason, so can't log in. You may need to experiment with distros. Otherwise, uername is "User". No password.
160GB Toshiba HDD has bad sectors - beware!!
VGA for external monitor.
12.1 inch screen - I forget the exact resolution, but definitely much less than 1080p.
There may be other faults I am not aware of - this is sold as parts/not working.
