Gardener / Handyman (Russian Speakers Preferred, Open to Qualified Non-Russian Speakers)

UHNW Private Residence – North London

Location: Private Villa, North London

Schedule: 1 month on / 1 month off or 6/1 schedule

Salary: Approx. £4,500/month (negotiable based on experience)

Accommodation: Provided during working shifts if working 1 month on /1 month off

Position Overview

A high-profile UHNW family in North London is looking for a professional Gardener / Handyman for a long-term, rotational, live-in role. The successful candidate must bring hands-on experience in gardening, landscaping, and basic exterior maintenance, ideally gained within private estates or professional horticultural settings.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years of solid, full-time gardening experience in paid employment
Experience must come from private estates or commercial gardening/farming companies
References are a must ( need to be verbally confirmed )
Employment experience history must be from the UK, Western Europe (excluding Eastern Europe), USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
we are not able to considered candidates who don’t have least 3 years of full time experience as a gardener in the uk ( no self employed or free lance )
Must have a valid UK visa or right to work in the uk
Russian speakers are preferred (must understand basic English instructions); open to highly qualified non-Russian speakers
Reliable, proactive, and physically fit
Able to work independently and maintain high standards

Key Responsibilities

Garden & Landscape Maintenance

Lawn care: mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration
Seasonal planting, mulching, and weeding
Pruning of trees, shrubs, and hedges
Pest control and seasonal spraying
Monitoring and maintenance of the automatic irrigation system

Water Features

Cleaning and care of ponds and fountains
Monitoring water levels and filtration systems
Removal of algae and mineral deposits

Outdoor Areas & Infrastructure

Sweeping and cleaning paths, terraces, and stairways
Washing outdoor glass and decorative surfaces
Maintenance of drainage systems and rainwater inlets

Minor Repairs & Maintenance

Replacing bulbs, tightening fixtures, and basic painting touch-ups
Assembling/installing outdoor furniture and garden features
Basic plumbing, ventilation, and electrical maintenance

Event Support & General Duties

Setting up outdoor spaces for guest visits or events
Moving and arranging furniture, lighting, and equipment
Performing occasional outdoor household tasks and practical errands
