vintage c.1950s ceramic floral Carlton Ware milk creamer Jug / Sauce Gravy Boat no.2508, produced in an unusual and striking stylistic asymmetric form.
• featuring an ‘Australian Design’ — Convolvulus (Morning Glory) flower pattern.
• in the Pale Green colourway, with hand-painted raised flower design
• signed on the base — “ J. ” , in dark green paint.
• makers stamp on the base reads:
“CARLTON WARE
HANDPAINTED
MADE IN ENGLAND
TRADEMARK
REGISTERED
AUSTRALIAN DESIGN”
• also stamped with the number " 2508 "
