Acquired directly from its previous keeper, a discerning local collector, this 1993 Jaguar XJS 4.0 Coupé is a truly exceptional example of the model, showing just 19,946 miles from new. Presented in Diamond Blue with Doeskin hide, it remains beautifully preserved and recently benefited from a major £9,000 recommissioning by the renowned Aston Martin specialists Nicholas Mee & Co, confirming the previous owner’s commitment to mechanical and cosmetic perfection. The work at Nicholas Mee was carried out at 18,901 miles and covered a complete mechanical inspection and overhaul. The alternator and A/C belts, gearbox oil and filter, and differential oil were replaced, while both front and rear brakes received renewed components, including rear calipers, pads, and handbrake shoes. The heater and air-conditioning system were rebuilt, incorporating a new expansion valve, and multiple engine and cooler seals were renewed. Preventative underbody treatment was applied, corrosion protection refreshed, and the car was finished with four new period-correct Pirelli P600 tyres, balanced and fitted with matching tread depths across all four corners. This car’s provenance further sets it apart. Built on 10 February 1993, it was first registered to Jaguar’s Executive Fleet and later became part of the renowned James Hull Collection, one of the UK’s most significant private holdings of classic British cars. When Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations acquired the collection, the XJS returned to factory ownership, where it remained until being sold to its most recent custodian.
