About Webrecruit

Since 2001, Webrecruit has been at the forefront of recruitment advertising and technology, providing a seamless blend of innovative tech solutions and marketing expertise.

Think this could be your way into the world of software development? Read on.

Your day-to-day

QA testing is an ideal entry route into software development, and you’ll be working closely with our development and QA teams using Agile methodologies.

As part of our QA function, you’ll collaborate with development and support teams to ensure all new functionality is tested to the highest standards. Our platform is constantly evolving, so you’ll work on new features and modules as well as on release and regression test plans.

Specifically, you will:

• Create and document test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria

• Execute test cases and log outcomes in Jira

• Identify issues and provide clear documentation and reproduction steps for developers

• Verify that all new features meet requirements and specifications

• Investigate reported bugs and replicate issues

What we’ll need from you:

• A degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience in QA or software)

• An understanding of Agile development methodology

• Awareness of the QA role in software development

• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills

• A collaborative mindset and the drive to learn

What’s in it for you?

You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as we expand our software with regular new releases and projects. There’s real variety here, and you’ll quickly see the impact of your work.

Some of the benefits of joining include:

• A chance to shape our testing function and influence QA processes

• A clear organisational and development roadmap

• Ongoing training and support for your career progression - many of our QA team have gone on to become developers, business analysts, or QA leads

• A remote-first culture with the tools and communication in place to help you stay connected

• An exciting and varied client base, from household-name charities to fast-growing starts up and public sector bodies

Please note, we do not hold a UK sponsorship licence. Candidates must already have the right to live and work in the UK.

Ready to kickstart your QA career and make a real impact on software used by charities and public sector organisations? Click “Apply” and join the Webrecruit team today
