The Opportunity
We're looking for a talented Java Developer to join a delivery-focused engineering team building modern, scalable applications within a fast-paced Agile environment.
This role is ideal for a developer who is passionate about software engineering best practices, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, maintainable code. You'll work across the full development lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services.
Build scalable, resilient solutions using the Spring Framework or similar technologies.
Contribute to system design and architecture discussions.
Develop high-quality code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and modern engineering practices.
Support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery practices.
Collaborate with developers, testers, architects, and product teams within Agile delivery teams.
Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and quality standards.Essential Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience with Java development.
Experience with Spring Framework (or equivalent).
Solid understanding of software design patterns and their practical application.
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.
Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines.
Passion for code quality, automated testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).Desirable Skills
Experience with Kafka.
Experience with IBM MQ / MQ Series.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies. xjnqpsq
