Informatica Engineer

Your new company

You will be working for a known organisation who are looking for an Informatica Engineer who is actively SC Cleared. This role won't be able to accept anyone who doesn't hold active SC clearance. This is a 6-month rolling contract and paying £600 per day inside IR35. The role is fully remote working.

Your new role

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or related Informatica technologies.

Build and optimise data integration solutions across multiple source systems and data platforms.

Support data migration, transformation and cleansing activities.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data mappings and solution designs.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring service stability and performance.

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers and data teams to deliver project objectives.

Perform code reviews and promote best practices in ETL development and data quality.

Ensure solutions comply with security, governance and data management standards.

Support testing activities, including system integration testing and user acceptance testing.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong commercial experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).

Proven experience designing and developing ETL and data integration solutions.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

Experience with data migration, data warehousing and data quality processes.

Understanding of data modelling principles and metadata management.

Experience working within agile delivery environments.

Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience within Central Government, Defence, Policing, Healthcare or wider Public Sector organisations.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with data governance frameworks and Master Data Management (MDM).

Knowledge of Python, scripting or API integrations.
