My daughter really struggles with maths and this has caused her to dislike the subject. However, after a few sessions with Akhtar’s Academy she’s now starting to enjoy the subject as she’s finally understanding concepts she’s struggled with.

So far finding a department head of maths, in a top rated school has been extremely fortunate and akin to finding a needle in a haystack. Excellent start so far, and we as a family feel very excited for our child to have some tailored one to one tuition. For the next two years to cover maths and advanced maths For my son. All lessons so far have been pre planned, printed and organised prior to the lessons start. Two hours a week with plenty of tailored homework and a bespoke plan according to my sons needs should get him back to his target grades in his favourite subject. Finding a good maths specialist that can explain complex concepts and methods in an easy manner is like finding gold dust. I feel extremely glad and fortunate we have found a teacher that can get my son back on track after a lazy start in year nine, after lockdowns through key stage 3 and him finding his feet and resettling into educational stability. The teacher has started to target gaps in his knowledge within keystage 3, before commencing to foundation and higher maths for GCSE. Making the transition from foundation to higher level comfortable by ensuring the pupil comprehends the patterns within a topic and secures the knowledge through repetition, to aid progression. I highly recommend this tutor , and feel fortunate in my search on the very first day at bark.
