The AVD3001 operates using its integrated rechargeable battery and can be installed without existing doorbell wiring.

It can alternatively be connected to compatible 8–24V AC doorbell wiring for continuous trickle charging. The doorbell continues to operate from its battery when hardwired.

Please check your existing doorbell transformer and wiring meet Arlo’s requirements before attempting a hardwired installation.

Arlo Secure App and Subscription

The Arlo Secure app is required to configure the doorbell and manage its settings.

Some functionality—including cloud recording, advanced object detection and recorded voicemail—may require a paid Arlo Secure subscription. Subscription terms and availability are controlled by Arlo and may change.

Please Note

A 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection and compatible smartphone are required.

An Arlo SmartHub or Base Station is not required for standard Wi-Fi operation.

Any existing doorbell wiring must meet Arlo’s compatibility requirements.
