Description
The Village Nurse Ltd is a small, nurse led home support service providing warm, reliable and consistent support to older adults who want to remain comfortable and independent in their own homes.
We understand that inviting someone into your loved one’s home is a big decision. Families want to know that Mum, Dad or another loved one is with someone kind, dependable and familiar.
That is why we deliberately work as a small team and focus on continuity. Wherever possible, your loved one is supported by the same familiar carers rather than constantly seeing different faces. This can be particularly reassuring for people living with dementia, where familiarity and routine really matter.
We provide companionship and practical help with everyday life at home. This can include preparing meals and drinks, shopping, light household tasks, laundry, changing bedding, opening and closing curtains, helping with correspondence, collecting prescriptions, medication prompting, accompanying someone to appointments, going for walks or outings, sitting and having a cup of tea and conversation, and simply making sure things are okay at home.
We can also provide wellbeing visits, respite support and longer periods of support, including live in companionship where appropriate.
Being nurse led brings an experienced and observant approach to our service. We take time to understand each person’s routines, preferences and what matters to them, while encouraging them to maintain as much independence as possible.
Our aim is simple: to provide the practical help and companionship that make everyday life at home easier, while giving families reassurance and peace of mind.
