Sous Chef - Royston
PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join our client's kitchen team.
Position: Sous Chef
Pay Rate: up to 17.48p/h inc hol pay
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Temporary / Permanent opportunities may be available
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering a high standard of food and service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchenPrepare and cook food to a consistently high standardSupport the kitchen team during busy service periodsEnsure food is prepared and presented correctlyMaintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanlinessAssist with stock rotation and stock controlMinimise food waste and maintain good kitchen organisationFollow all health & safety and food hygiene proceduresSupport junior members of the kitchen teamHelp ensure the smooth running of the kitchenAbout You
Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or experienced ChefGood knowledge of food preparation and cookingUnderstanding of food hygiene and health & safetyAble to work well under pressureReliable, hardworking and organisedGood communication and teamwork skills
