Hiring: Continental Chef Southampton (SO45)
One of our clients, in the Southampton area, is looking for an experienced Chef to lead catering for their residents.

About the Role
You will prepare and serve daily meals for residents, covering breakfast, Sunday roasts, traditional favourites and continental dishes. This is a hands-on kitchen role where quality, nutrition and individual dietary needs matter equally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and prepare daily menus, including breakfast, Sunday roast and continental options
2. Cater for individual dietary, cultural and medical requirements, including texture-modified and allergen-free meals
3. Maintain food hygiene, safety and record-keeping standards in line with regulatory requirements
4. Manage stock, ordering and kitchen budgets while minimising waste
5. Work closely with care staff to support residents' nutrition and hydration needs
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a chef, ideally in a care home, hospital or similar setting
2. Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certification, or willingness to obtain
3. Sound understanding of allergens, HACCP and modified-texture diets
4. Reliable and organised, with flexibility across shifts including weekends
5. Enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK
