A fantastic pair of matching 1970s modular shelving and storage units by Avalon Furniture, combining warm teak and teak veneers with slim black metal frames.

Each freestanding bay comprises a glazed display cabinet, open shelving, a storage cupboard and a bank of drawers, a bureau providing a particularly versatile combination of display and practical storage.

The individual components can be positioned at different heights on the metal frame, allowing the configuration to be adapted to suit your space and storage requirements. They can also be used together as shown or positioned separately around a room. The individual units can be screwed into the frames for a more secure set up. 

The teak has a lovely warm colour and attractive natural grain, complemented by the minimalist black metal framework. A great example of the practical yet stylish modular furniture produced in Britain during the 1960s and 1970s. A brilliant statement storage solution for a mid-century, retro or contemporary interior.

Avalon Furniture was a British manufacturer based in Yatton, Somerset, known for its teak furniture and modular storage designs.

Good vintage, unrestored condition with signs of age and previous use consistent with a piece of furniture from the 1970s. Please study the photographs carefully for condition and detail. We are happy to answer any questions.
