Description
Vintage Squirrel Confections Hinged Tin made by The Squirrel Confectionary Co Ltd. Stockport, England. Measures approximately 22cm in length, 14cm in width and 8.5 cm in depth. Believed to date from the 1950s/1960s or possibly earlier, others suggest 1930s/1920s. Signs of patina/rust/marks and a couple of dents as has been well used as a storage tin. This is reflected in selling price. Cover is rendition of Sir Edwin Landseer’s ‘A Piper And Pair Of Nutcrackers (1864) Pretty Inner lid which is in good condition.
