Description
The Thorens lighter was patented by Hermann Thorens, the founder of the Swiss company Thorens, who registered his family business in 1883 and also produced music boxes, phonographs, and later lighters. The company has since licensed its brand to a Chinese manufacturer, Hubei Thorens Metal Co., Ltd., which is now the official operator and factory for Thorens lighters.
