A striking and elegant painting,, using Chinese watercolours on handmade rice paper by the artist Marianne Nash.
Chilterns Silk Painters - is a branch of the Guild of Silk Painters that was started by Marianne Nash.
For almost 30 years she practised the ancient art of Chinese Brush Painting on rice paper, using only traditional methods and equipment.
She taught Chinese Brush Painting, Silk Painting, and other art subjects and demonstrated regularly at several national exhibitions , as well as holding solo exhibitions
She was a Member of the Guild of Silk Painters, the Batik Guild and the Chinese Brush Painters Society.
This is a framed and glazed, pre-owned picture in good condition.
