Description
In 2015 The Royal Mint released a Two Pound Proof gold coin - also known as a Double Sovereign - to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta.
The £2 gold coin - sometimes referred to as the Double Sovereign (twice the weight of a Gold Sovereign). The coin comes with both a Royal Mint box and the certificate of authenticity.
The reverse of the coin was designed by the Royal Mint engraving team and shows the signing of the Magna Carta. On the obverse side is Jody Clarke's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
