Description
Would you like a detailed crafts hobby project to keep you busy for future months, or possibly years? Welcome to Project Merlin.
This partially constructed project is unique and has so far been designed and made from scratch. Hundreds of hours of planning and crafting are still required to complete this build.
It’s been a while since I’ve done any work on it, and I have now accepted that I am not going to finish it. With space now very limited, my only option is to advertise it as an ongoing project and hope someone will have the insight and enthusiasm to continue the journey.
The first photo in the listing was taken in August 2024 and nothing has been done to the model since. The sale will also include a memory stick with a folder of various files including artwork, material lists, useful suppliers and other information.
I also created a website in 2020 and started a detailed work-in-progress account of the build (website link above). This will give you a better insight into the nature of the project with write-up illustrations and work-in-progress photos. Please note; the website has been created to view on a computer screen and not a mobile phone screen.
It is difficult to assess an asking price for Project Merlin. If this was based on hours already spent designing and constructing the project thus far, the asking price would be scary. So, I am basing the asking price on the amount I would be happy to pass this project over to someone else.
Model dimensions in its current form: 1110mm long, 670mm wide, 630mm high.
