Pye Cambridge 9137 Reel-to-Reel Tape Recorder – Classic Audio Gear
Edinburgh City Centre, Edinburgh
£80
1 / 10
Description
Pye Cambridge 9137 Reel to Reel Recorder. The PYE Cambridge 9137 was made in Austria and was a re-badged Philips N4407 with three speeds: 1 7/8, 3¾ and 7½ ips and a maximum reel size of 7 inches.
A 4-track stereo recorder, the 9137 allowed ‘Duo-play’ and ‘Multiplay’ – (fancy terms for sound-with-sound and sound-on-sound) as well as automatic stop and mixing facilities during recording.
Totally solid state, the 9137 had two internal 6″ x 4″ elliptical speakers driven by a 4 watts per channel stereo amplifier.
This powers on but the reels do not turn so it might be something as simple as belts that need replaced but it might be something more.
There is cosmetic damage to the veneer on the front panel but otherwise is looking good
I'm open to offers but be reasonable. This is a nice player.
Collection only sorry. It is very heavy
