You'll be joining a supportive and client–focused organisation based in Cheltenham, committed to helping vulnerable individuals live independently. The team works collaboratively with local authorities, housing officers, and charities to deliver high–quality support services.

Your new role

As a Support Worker, you'll provide practical and emotional support to clients using a holistic, person–centred approach. You'll help clients maintain their tenancies, develop life skills, and access services that promote wellbeing. The role involves lone working and regular collaboration with internal and external partners.

– Delivering person–centred support tailored to each client's emotional and practical needs.– Assisting clients in maintaining their tenancies and navigating housing–related challenges.

– Supporting clients with budgeting, daily routines, and accessing community resources.

– Conducting thorough needs and risk assessments and developing robust support plans.

– Collaborating with housing officers, project coordinators, and external agencies to ensure holistic care.

– Encouraging clients to make positive lifestyle changes and engage with support services.

– Maintaining accurate documentation and updating Housing Outcome Stars quarterly.

– Promoting safeguarding practices and reporting incidents, accidents, or near misses appropriately.

– Participating in multi–agency meetings and contributing to service reviews and audits.

– Supporting clients during their transition out of the service, including move–on planning with local authorities and charities.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience in a support worker role is ideal, but we also welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills who are passionate about making a difference. Strong communication and IT skills are essential, along with a good understanding of safeguarding practices. The ability to work independently and travel locally is important, and access to a car with business insurance is desirable. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely cares about supporting vulnerable people and helping them achieve greater independence.
