Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Salary: 13.00 – 13.25 per hours, 40 sleep in rate Plus Overtime (+ 2 per hour)

Shift Pattern: 2 days on 4 days off plus sleep ins

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day–to–day care and support for children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well–being, and personal development.

Responsibilities:

Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.

Encourage and support children and young people in their education, social, and leisure activities.

Work as part of a team to develop and implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child's needs.

Maintain accurate and up–to–date records

Support children and young people with their daily routines

Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, self–esteem, and resilience in children and young people.

Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is desirable but not essential

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A compassionate and caring nature.

Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep–ins on a rota basis.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations.

A driving license is essential for the role
