Residential Childcare Support Worker

Location: Bridgwater

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Specific Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary

Unqualified: 27,866.34 basic salary, with potential earnings of up to 33,447.67 including sleep–in shiftsQualified: 29,181.57 basic salary, with potential earnings of up to 34,762.90 including sleep–in shiftsBenefits

Headway Adolescent Resources, established in 1999, has built a strong reputation for providing high–quality residential care for adolescents. We pride ourselves on offering holistic, individualised support to young people from all backgrounds.

We're now recruiting Residential Childcare Workers to join our home in Bridgwater!

Purpose of the Role

Based in one of our children's residential homes, you'll support young people with challenging behaviour, requiring flexibility, resilience, honesty and strong organisational skills. You'll be committed to delivering high–quality care that helps each young person achieve positive outcomes.

This is a permanent role with great career prospects and full training within a growing organisation. You'll work an average of 38 hours per week on a two–days–on / four–days–off shift pattern, including two sleep–ins. You'll also receive generous allowances for bank holidays and overtime, as well as a performance–related bonus.

Essential Skills

Hold a full UK manual driving licenceBe able to work independently and accurately while maintaining clear, organised recordsHave strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach to teamworkBe able to complete daily records in accordance with statutory and policy standardsHave an empathetic, patient and supportive natureHave good written and verbal communication skillsBe able to engage, motivate and encourage young peopleDesirable Skills
