Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home (EBD) Stoke-on-Trent

Full-Time Permanent

Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 per annum + benefits

Ribble Recruitment is assisting with the sourcing, screening, and initial stages of recruitment for this Registered Manager position.

Role OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage a new 2-bed children's residential home supporting young people aged 7-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance, and day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and wellbeing in line with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.

This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for a committed and values-driven manager who is confident registering and developing a new service and creating a stable, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day running of the 2-bed children's home in line with Ofsted requirements and safeguarding standardsSupport the registration and successful opening of a new children's residential serviceDevelop, implement, and regularly review child-centred care plansMonitor children's wellbeing, progress, and outcomes, providing consistent support and guidanceRecruit, train, supervise, and develop staff, promoting trauma-informed and positive behaviour practicesEnsure accurate record keeping, incident reporting, and audit readinessPrepare for and manage Ofsted inspections, driving continuous improvementBuild strong working relationships with families, social workers, education providers, and external professionalsWork closely with Directors and senior leadership to support service growth and developmentEssential RequirementsMinimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential homeExperience supporting the registration of a new children's homeLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential ChildcareNVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and children's residential legislationConfident, supportive leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop staffExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhat's on OfferGBP50,000 - GBP60,000 salary (depending on experience)Performance-related bonuses (including Ofsted and occupancy incentives)On-call payments30 days annual leave, plus birthday offFlexible and hybrid working optionsCompany pension schemeFree lunches, drinks, and snacksGym and fitness incentivesCasual workwearCompany social eventsFull support from Director levelClear progression opportunities within a growing organisationWorking PatternMonday to FridayOccasional out-of-hours support as requiredIf you're a committed Registered Manager looking to play a key role in shaping a new service and making a lasting difference in young people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
